Calhoun continued winning in the Tournament of Champions, being played on Jekyll Island, this time against Vestavia Hills, Ala.

The Yellow Jackets came away with a 2-1 win on Thursday.

Vestavia Hills scored early in the match to take a 1-0 lead, but Efraim Martinez tied the score 1-1 in the fourth minute of the second half on a free kick. Luis Cervantez clinched the win for Calhoun with 5:00 left in the match on an assist from Sam Maldonado. Eric Muruillo had nine saves for the Yellow Jackets, and Jonathan Clark and Maldonado contributed on defense.

Calhoun continues tournament play today at 1 p.m. against Wayne County.
